A Uniform at School

Clothes are important. The way we dress, the way we choose and wear our clothes, doesn't define who we are, but it does determine our insertion into the human and non-human environment. Our clothes are machines for coexistence: coexistence with other human beings, but also with the non-human world around us. We need to be aware of this. The uniform (apart from the fact that it wouldn't solve any of the difficulties specific to education in France) shares with its apparent opposite, fast fashion, the disposable garment, the idea of coexistence without responsibility.
